I’m Learning

I may have to take this site back to it’s original configuration. I’ve messed the script up somewhere. I can’t seem to get the comments hid so they aren’t displayed all the time, and when I post a comment on someone else’s blog the link to my profile and the accompanying thumbnail are right in the middle of the comment. If anyone has some tips let me know (on these things or any other thing about the site).

Why must “everyone” agree that being gay is ok? Why is it that anyone with a differing view is intolerant, a bigot or hateful?”

It does seem that the PC part of the left would like to keep anyone from saying anything negative about anyone else, which certainly appears to an attempt to quash the First Amendment
(although you’d find few who would admit this).

The hipocracy of it all is calling someone a bigot, intolerant or a racist for simply not supporting your views. It is hypocritical to say “You have to accept our views but we do not have to respect yours.”

Free speech: If saying gays shouldn’t be allowed to get married and they are sinners is what you firmly believe in, then yes, you should be allowed to represent your views. You hurt no one by doing this. You may hurt some feelings, but you are harming no one. It is your view and you have just as much right to support that view as those on the other side of the issue.

    Dang! I thought I overhauled my blog =) I can’t recognise this one :D
Some of your font colors are contrasted enough with the background though, makes it hard on the eyes. Just my little opinion

  3. How can you lecture someone on free speech and then delete their commentfrom your blog? I never said that everyone must agree that being gay is “O.K.” I’m not telling you what to think, I’m telling you what you owe to your fellow man. You can think what you want, you can say what you want, but when you put such hateful thoughts and words into public policy, you’ve crossed the line.

The Brandenburg test - Merely teaching or advocating unpopular ideas must be distinguished from teaching or advocating the duty, necessity, or propriety of acting on those beliefs. The right to speak and organize cannot be abridged no matter if the group’s message and purpose are repugnant to American values (such as KKK speech). In order for government to intervene, the speaker must subjectively intend incitement (imminent evil), use words which are likely to produce action (imminent action), and openly encourage or urge incitement (suggesting, for example, it’s a duty to commit a crime). http://faculty.ncwc.edu/toconnor/410/410lect08.htm

We have an equal protection clause in our constitution. While the movement for freedom can only be stalled, eventually all citizens will have their rights upheld, no matter what “moral” arguments are thrown in the way. It was immoral for women to be working outside of the home years ago, as was the notion that they had brains enough to vote. Instituting any law against someone because of their sexual orientation is discriminatory and wrong. And don’t give me the Rick Santorum defense, that next somebody will want to marry their dog, a dog cannot give consent.

First of all, no one has deleted you comments, I am the only one who can do that and it is still there.

Second, I havn’t crossed the line in my post. I think you need to examine some of your own writtings. The title of your blog explains it all. We have a right to disagree and even strongly but that does not make what, I say less true. Just because you say so, doesn’t make it so.

Thirdly, you have the right to disagree with what, I write on my blog and make your case but it still doesn’t make what, I say less true. I am a minister and I stand on the Word of God, not a twisted progressive idealogy. You act as if you set the rules for debate(i.e.The Brandenburg test)see what you are doing is making your argument, self-defeating. Practice what you preach. Check out your own blog and apply the same standard.

    Have a good day,

What I owe my fellow man is the Truth and nothing less. Some people can’t handle the truth and that is why they try to make their readers believe someone has deleted their comments, when no one has.
