Pre-Nov. 7th Thinking

Herr Blogenfreude has his “Weekend Wingnut Roundup,” I think I’ll put my own spin on the concept with “Pre-Nov. 7th Thinking.” Every week on Tuesday, to commemorate the victory, I’ll do a rundown of what some of my favorite nutter’s said in total denial of November the 7th, 2006.
Ace of Spades - “New York Times Gives Go-Ahead For Reporters To Call Iraq ‘Civil War,’ As They Deem Appropriate . . . And with their influence greatly diminished, they have to resort to more transparent stunts and shrilly partisan “announcements” to push their agenda.”
Confederate Yankee - As I’ve mentioned previously, a state of war exists between the United States and the governments of Iran and Syria, and that the question before us now is whether or not we chose to acknowledge this state of war that our adversaries have instigated…
Dennis Prager [Townhall] - “Keith Ellison, D-Minn., the first Muslim elected to the United States Congress, has announced that he will not take his oath of office on the Bible, but on the bible of Islam, the Koran. He should not be allowed to do so — not because of any American hostility to the Koran, but because the act undermines American civilization.”
Michelle Malkin - “A federal judge did what? U.S. District Judge Audrey Collins seems to have just shredded the president’s authority to designate terrorist groups . . . Huh?”
Powerline - “President Bush said today that he ‘will not pull troops off the battlefield [in Iraq] before the mission is complete. Speaking in Latvia where he’ll attend a NATO meeting, Bush added that ‘we can accept nothing less than victory for our children and our grandchildren.’ These are reassuring words to those of us concerned about the mounting pressure on the administration to accept a defeat…”
-January is going to be such a cold, dark, and long month for these folks…
Bonus for Crooks and Liars visitors.
