“l’art pour l’art”

self_portrait

Fond memories of summer 04′. Just got out of the Army, no shirt, no shoes, Labatt Blue in hand. Still had a decent amount of hair on my head. In fact that was the longest my hair’s ever been since 1997. This is my self portrait.

    Very Nice!
I posted mine in a “needing a break from ranting” piece. It’s not very good.

I got out 19 years earlier, an early recipient of stop-loss. Then they called it an “extension” to allow me to train a few other people.

I got up, did no PT, ambled off to breakfast, ambled off to train people, slipped into town to drink myself into oblivion nightly. It took me about a year to realize I developed myself a problem in those last few months…

Put my own up over at Lose The Noose (http://losenoose.blogspot.com/) where no one will see it because no one goes there since Lily left.

Getting pretty handy with that Photoshop aren’t you Frederick. I have resisted learning how to use it since it seems so complicated and I am no artist but maybe I will delve into it. Nice but you could have shown the beer to better advantage.

That’s a beautiful self-portrait, Frederick. It really is interesting to use Photoshop to apply the layers of effects to convey what we are feeling. Well done.
