It's a new low in political courage. Frankly, it's very difficult to have any trust for any of them.

Instead of putting dirty socks on after changing from dirty socks, we might want to look into buying new socks, since the ones we have won't come clean.

Like Comandante Agi, I'm not surprised. I was very wary after the November elections...cautious and ever so slightly hopeful. But I'm not a Democrat so I didn't have a lot of faith that they would do anything of substance.

Have y'all considered some alternatives to the two-party monoploy?

Damn them all, this was a cowardly thing to do. If they think the Democratic base (of which I am unapologetically a part; note the name of my blog) didn't notice, they're in for a surprise.

The first thing I did when I heard the news was to take the DNC fundraising mailer sitting on my desk and stick it in the shredder. And that's just for starters.

If the Democratic leadership caved on this matter, the center of the mission for which we sent them to Washington, what else can we trust them with? Damn it, people will die needlessly because of this vote. It's time for new party leadership... now.

Got to agree with Diva. I already had my mind made up about Clinton. This is just another of a long strip of black marks on Obama. He's not doing much to distinguish himself.

New Democratic Leadership Motto: "Ask not what you can do for your political future, but what your political future can do for you."

I think my favorite part was both Clinton and Obama waiting until their votes did not matter to vote no. Timing is everything, right? They give the appearance of being against this bill, without really being against it. What cowards. What opportunistic cowards those two are.

Imagine how Russ Feingold feels after all he has tried to do. He's talked himself blue in the face for one thing...I guess he just talked to the air for all the attention his fellow politicians gave him. He had plenty of the American people on his side though.

I am so pissed I can't see straight. I am at one of those points where you just stand and boil and wait for something to whack you on the side of the head and say getoverit. Not gonna happen.
