New York State of Mind

Giuliani_Clinton

My good friend Carl points to Hillary Clinton’s strength in Virginia, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania as evidence defying the meme that she has set Texas and Ohio as a firewall against the Obama insurgency. I might go so far as to give him PA because of its proximity to New York, but I don’t think thing are going to pan out in WI:

SV Poll: Obama, Clinton Locked in Close Wisconsin Race
A new Strategic Vision poll in Wisconsin shows Sen. Barack Obama edging Sen. Hillary Clinton, 45% to 41%, one week from the state’s primary.

*One note on John Edwards, since Carl brings him up. I think that because he has held out so long in giving an endorsement he should just go ahead and keep it to himself until the Convention. It looks like that’s where this thing is headed anyways.

It looks like corporate Hillary is using Mayor 9-11′s campaign strategy…..THAT worked out well.

Wisconsin is a heavily unionized state and unions remember what Bill Clinton did for them despite NAFTA (which Obama supported as well).

And I wasn’t that far off in my predictions regarding Virginia. I said she’d sweep the west of the state and she pretty much did. I thought she had a chance to steal the entire state, which of course, I was wrong about.

None of our predictions, it seems, are going to come to fruition. They have to be big an broad in this election year. I still love ya brother.
