Why only a (D)? I’d bet Turd Blossom has the goods on every member of Congress, of whatever party, every congressional staffer, etc., etc. … all of ‘em.

The Bushists had large sections of the Patriot Act written and ready to go before 9/11/2001. Think about that as you decide how to vote this year… if you care about your civil liberties. The Dem leadership is indeed spineless (don’t get me started), but I doubt seriously they would have done something like that.

I’m guessing by now BushCo and the Republicans have full working dossiers on everyone in Washington with a (D) by their name. Anyone who gets out of line gets a visit from Herr Rove who shows them the pictures and transcripts.

My theory may be hair brained but it would go a long way toward explaining why this so-called Democratic Congress has been so inept.

i guess the whole point of being a congressional democrat is to hold on to power for as long as possible, waiting for a magical day when it will be easy to make tough political decisions and fight to defend our constitution.
