IOZ in G minor

Listen for a minute with closed eyes, then, awake. Read.

Band practice was canceled. The rhythm guitar section’s wife had an interview, and the percussion section had to stop by the VA for a tune up. So I was left all by my lonesome to drink beer and bullshit with The Culture Ghost, Mr. Fundamental, Agi, and Crusader Axe via e-mail. It’s what we do most days to kill time, reveling in our cynicism and nihilism, trading interesting stories on der Google reader. The rhythm guitarist did finally show and we killed a few more poor Canadian soldiers before he left.

We were talking about moving some original material to the fore during rehearsal and doing a little noodling on our acoustics when his wife asked why our playing sounds the way it does when we’re on the acoustic compared to our electric guitars. And that’s when he said it. “It’s not so much how or what we want to be playing, it’s the instrument’s voice.”

Careful with that Axe, Eugene.
